How do I share my faith?

Sharing your faith means proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ so that others may hear, believe, and be saved. This is not just for pastors or evangelists, it is the calling of every believer.

Jesus commanded:

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 28:19)

Peter wrote:

“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.” (1 Peter 3:15)

Effective sharing begins with your own life. A transformed life speaks loudly:

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)

Use God’s Word, not just your opinions. The gospel is the power of God:

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.” (Romans 1:16)

Pray for opportunities and boldness:

“Praying always… that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel.” (Ephesians 6:18–19)

Be clear and focused. The gospel message includes: God is holy, Man is sinful, Jesus died and rose again to save sinners, and Salvation is by grace through faith.

“That Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day.” (1 Corinthians 15:3–4)

Rely on the Holy Spirit to convict and draw people:

“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him.” (John 6:44)

Sharing your faith is not about winning arguments but leading souls to Christ. Speak the truth in love, and let your life and words point to the Savior.
