Fear of the Lord
Here’s what it means
Reverent awe, loyalty, and obedience toward God.
Why the Bible says it this way
The phrase can include real fear of judgment, but in wisdom literature it describes a whole posture of humble trust and submission.
An idiom is a familiar phrase whose meaning comes from the whole expression, not from reading each word by itself.
