Evil in someone’s eyes
Here’s what it means
What displeases that person or is judged morally wrong.
Why the Bible says it this way
When something is evil in the Lord's eyes, it means God condemns it, not merely that it looks unattractive.
An idiom is a familiar phrase whose meaning comes from the whole expression, not from reading each word by itself.
