A biblical worldview is seeing all of life through the lens of Scripture. It means interpreting reality, morality, human nature, and purpose based on the truth of God’s Word rather than cultural opinions, emotions, or human reasoning.
Proverbs 3:5–6 instructs:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
A person with a biblical worldview believes:
God is the Creator of all things (Genesis 1:1)
The Bible is the final authority on truth (2 Timothy 3:16)
Mankind is sinful and in need of salvation (Romans 3:23)
Jesus Christ is the only way to be reconciled to God (John 14:6)
Our purpose is to glorify God and live in obedience to Him (Ecclesiastes 12:13)
Romans 12:2 commands:
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
A biblical worldview impacts every area of life: how we view marriage, gender, justice, politics, education, entertainment, and ethics. It means evaluating everything by Scripture and rejecting ideas that contradict it.
Colossians 2:8 warns:
“Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men… and not according to Christ.”
A biblical worldview does not shift with trends. It holds to absolute truth and sees the world as God sees it. Without this foundation, believers are vulnerable to deception and compromise.
Developing a biblical worldview requires study of the Word, submission to the Holy Spirit, and commitment to live by truth regardless of cost. It shapes not just what we believe, but how we live.
